The year ended 30 June 2007 was a year of considerable economic growth for East Africa, partly driven by a resurgence in international commodity prices, but also due to significant improvements in market efficiency and business confidence. The agricultural sector was a prime contributor to growth, and this trend looks set to continue. Against this background, AAC is well-placed to be a leading investor in an expanding sector, which at last is gradually being freed from government control and intervention, and a sector which remains the backbone of the economies of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Our audited accounts for the year ending 30th June 2007 can be found here. |
